Teachers (2026-27 school year)

Salary ranges are included in job postings.  Compensation also includes:

  • Group contributions to an RRSP (3% matched by employer) 

  • Benefits (50% paid by employer) 

  • Prep time during the school day (240 minutes per week or 12.5% of one semester)

  • Priority for childcare ($10-a-day) and before/after school care ($7-a-day) on site as available

Primary (K-3) Outdoor Education Teacher 

1.0 FTE position beginning August 26, 2026.  Salary ranges from $54,802.44 to $96,035.94 depending on teaching experience and education.  Our "Wonder Walk" program includes "place based" learning about our local habitat and community resources as well as "Teaching for Transformation" principles as the students experience awe of God's creation and practice ways to care for creation.  Candidates must be passionate about the outdoors, including being outside in all weather conditions during all seasons.  Candidates must be in good physical condition, able to hike over a variety of terrains comfortably and able to support children in physical activities.  Having a Class 4 Driver's License is preferred but not mandatory.  

 

High School Humanities Teacher 

0.8 FTE position (four days a week, not including Thursdays) beginning August 26, 2026.  Salary ranges from $54,802.44 to $96,035.94 depending on teaching experience and education.  This teaching assignment includes English, Bible, History, and Entrepreneurship & Marketing.  Prep time is included as one high school block during the second semester of the year (80 min X 4 days per week). 

Elementary Teacher 

1.0 FTE teaching position beginning August 26, 2026.  Salary ranges from $54,802.44 to $96,035.94 depending on teaching experience and education.  Classroom teaching includes core subjects (Literacy, Numeracy, Bible, Health, Social Studies, Science).  Prep time is provided by specialty teachers (Music, Art, PE). 

Fitness Teacher 

0.17 FTE position from August 26, 2026-January 29, 2027 or February 2, 2027- June 25, 2027 depending on the 2026-27 timetable.  Salary ranges from $4,658.21 to $8,163.05 depending on teaching experience and education.  Candidates must have experience and certification in fitness training.

Community Engagement Coordinator

The Community Engagement Coordinator collaborates with the leadership team of Kamloops Christian School to develop and nurture deep connections within the school community (alumni, parents/guardians) and to promote the school within the local community of Kamloops.  The CEC’s role is to invite the school community and local community into engagement and participation with the KCS mission.

  • 23-28 hours/week (mid August to the end of June)

  • $34.84-39.37 per hour depending on experience and qualifications (annual salary range of $32,850 to - $45,200) 

  • August 17, 2026 start date (continuing contract)
