High School Humanities Teacher

0.77 FTE (four days a week, not including Thursdays) beginning January 25, 2027 to June 25, 2027. Salary ranges from $21,098.77 to $36,973.86 depending on teaching experience and qualifications. This teaching assignment includes English 9, English 10, and History 12.

Group contributions to an RRSP (3% matched by employer) for 0.5 FTE or higher positions

Prep time during the school day (240 minutes per week or 12.5% of one semester)

Custodian (on call, casual)

KCS is accepting applications for on-call custodial work. Hours of work could be 6:30am-3:00pm (day shift) or 3:00pm-11:00pm (evening shift) depending on the position being filled.

Responsibilities can include: classroom, office, and washroom cleaning; hallway/gym sweeping; and shovelling snow as needed during the winter season. Training will be provided.

A custodian must have the ability to:

work independently
stand or walk for extended periods of time
lift and carry supplies up to 50 lb
climb and work from 2.4 metre (8 foot) ladders
work in a highly active physical environment
follow safety procedures
operate cleaning equipment safely

Candidates must complete a criminal record check prior to employment beginning. Pay is $22.60 per hour.

Early Learning Centre

Early Childhood Educator

We are currently seeking an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team. KCS Early Learning Centre is a $10-a-day centre providing daycare, preschool, and before/after school care for school-aged children.

36 hours/week

Compensation includes:

$29.13- 29.67 per hour salary (including Wage Enhancement) depending on experience and qualifications

Priority for childcare ($10-a-day) and before/after school care ($7-a-day) on site as available

Early Childhood Educator

(on-call casual)

The Kamloops Christian School Early Learning Centre is currently accepting applications for on-call early childhood educators to work with children ages 12 months- 5 years old (daycare) and/or children ages 5-12 years old (before/after school care).

Casual hours of work are between 7:30 am to 5 pm for a maximum of 8 hours per day.

Candidates must successfully complete a criminal record check prior to employment beginning. Pay range is $18.67- $29.13 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications required:

Must be at least 19 years old
“Responsible Adult” certificate or other Early Childhood Educator certification (ECE-A or ECE)
Valid First Aid certificate
Team player with a positive attitude and able to respond well to direction from supervisors
Warm nurturing approach with children and families
Experience in working with children who have autism or other neurodivergent designations
Have a personal commitment to, and be in agreement to uphold the values and mission of Kamloops Christian School Association.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 0-40 pounds.
Must be able to get up and down from floor easily, able to maintain the safety of children including moving quickly
Must be able to participate fully in a fast-paced and occasionally loud environment
