​Educational Assistant - ON CALL
KCS is currently accepting applications for on-call educational assistants. Applicants with EA certification are preferred but certification is not mandatory.
Applicants must enjoy working with children and must have a skill set that includes flexibility, patience, and perseverance in supporting children with developing learning and/or behaviour skills.
Successful candidates must complete a criminal record check prior to employment. Pay wage is $20.68/hr (uncertified) and $23.89/hr (certified). Applicants will be contacted for an interview.

KCS is accepting applications for a part-time support staff position in our INSPIRE program, a multi-grade resource room. This is a specialized position working with a small group of students with complex needs in collaboration with a teacher and other support staff. Candidates who are Behavioural Interventionists, Certified Educational Assistants, or have experience working with children with special needs will be prioritized. Candidates must complete a criminal record check prior to employment.
This is a fixed term part-time position (17.5 hours/week) starting immediately. This position may continue until June 30, 2025 or may be ended prior to that date (with two week notice). Depending on experience and certification, pay is $23.89-$28.77 per hour. This position may be combined with the other part-time posted position.

Custodian
KCS is accepting applications for a custodial position for 30 hours a week starting February 3, 2025. Hours of work will be weekdays, 6-9 am and 3-6 pm.
Responsibilities include: opening up the facility each morning, completing safety checks of the playground/field, classroom and office cleaning, gym sweeping, and shovelling snow as needed during the winter season. Training will be provided during the first week of employment.
A custodian must have the ability to:

work independently

stand or walk for extended periods of time

lift and carry supplies up to 50 lb

climb and work from 2.4 metre (8 foot) ladders

work in a highly active physical environment

follow safety procedures

operate cleaning equipment safely

Pay is $20.68- $23.00 per hour depending on experience. Benefits will be provided.
