Your generosity to Kamloops Christian School is transformative to the school's mission and the lives of students and their families. Whether you give of your time, talents, or resources, you make a difference. As a fully accredited Group 1 faith-based independent school, KCS receives 50% of the BC government student funding provided to public schools. This government grant, combined with tuition, is used for our operational expenses. However, unlike public schools who receive capital grants as well, KCS must raise additional funds through donations to cover expenses related to owning and maintaining our building, vehicles, technology, and equipment.

KCS is a registered Canadian charitable organization, so your gifts are tax deductible.
Charitable donation receipts are provided in February for any donations from the previous calendar year.
Impact Area: Student Safety, Stewardship & Faith Formation
Student safety, stewardship and faith formation are top priorities at Kamloops Christian School and we need your help! Upgrades are urgently needed in 3 areas not currently provided by the operational budget. The school’s senior leadership team identified these priority solutions for the focus of the 2024-25 Development Fund.
Here’s how each improvement will benefit students and our community.
-
Stewardship - Restoration of External Cladding
-
Faith formation - Replacing Chapel Sound Equipment
-
Safety - Upgrades to our Security system
The goal: $60,000 by June 13, 2025.
Please consider making a gift to help KCS ensure a safe, faith-first school environment for our community. Your gifts are tax deductible as KCS is a registered charitable organization.
Every gift makes a difference!
Thank you for your investment in our students, our community and in God's story.
We are blessed with a beautiful and large building to use for our learning! But with any building that is 60+ years old comes the responsibility to steward it well through upgrades that ensure staff and student safety. This year our focus will be replacing the exterior wood cladding on the north side of the building with durable Hardie Board that will last for years to come and will ensure students can play safely in exterior spaces.
Our chapel is the heartbeat of our school. It is where our students gather to worship, learn and grow in their faith as they attend weekly chapel, participate in and host events like drama productions or our annual Grandparents’ Tea. KCS staff also actively use this space for All Staff meetings, worship and hosting KCS Society and Community events. Replacing sound equipment in our theater is foundational to the faith formation of our students, staff and our community.
Upgrading our security fob system with a new central control panel for programmable access options and updated magnetic locking mechanisms for all exterior doors enhances security for students, staff and tenants in the building day or night 24/7.
